Foundation Degrees
Why not kick-start or improve your career prospects by studying for a Foundation Degree?

What a Foundation Degree?
Foundation degrees are an intermediate, work-related degree level qualification designed with employers, and combine academic study with workplace learning to equip you with the relevant knowledge, understanding and skills to improve performance and productivity.

They allow people already employed to undertake a programme of study in order to get ahead in their chosen career, whilst continuing to work. You can also undertake a Foundation Degree when returning to work or changing your career.

In most cases, the foundation degree takes two years, and you can choose to "top up" your qualification with an extra year at university to gain an honours degree.

Stephenson College offers the following Foundation Degrees
  • Construction (with Nottingham Trent University)
  • Children's and Young People's Services (with Derby University)
  • Business Accounting (Wolverhampton University)
