Advanced Apprenticeship Children and Young People's Workforce - Early Years Educator - Level 3
Apprenticeships are training programmes for learners aged 16 plus who have left education or are already in employment. Apprentices will attend college one day each week or may receive training in the workplace as well as attending maths, English and/or ICT in college as necessary, to achieve the framework. Initial assessment and diagnostic testing is carried out prior to enrolment. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential.

Certificate in an Introduction to Early Years Education and Care - Full Time
This study programme is designed for individuals who would like to work with children in day nurseries, schools or playgroups. The qualification will prepare you for understanding the skills needed to care for and educate children between 0 -11 years and 11 months. The learning experience will be reflective of the current structure and expectations of the childcare sector, and you will have the opportunity to put theory into practice by carrying out relevant activities in a variety of placements with childcare providers.
You will also gain the qualification required for progression to the Level 3 Early Years Educator( Diploma)
The Level 2 Certificate is a part-time course for candidates working in an Early Years setting. In order to gain the qualification, you will need to achieve all mandatory units and a minimum of four credits from the optional units which you will choose to reflect your practice.
This Level 3 study programme is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to become an Early Years Educator, enabling you to work with children in a variety of settings such as nurseries, schools and play providers. This qualification will prepare you for working unsupervised or in a supervisory capacity with children and their families.
The learning experience will be reflective of the current structure and expectations of the childcare sector and you will have the opportunity to gain direct experience through work placements.
The Foundation Degree in Special Educational Needs and Disability is a programme designed for practitioners working with children and young people from 0-19 years who have been identified as having a special educational need or disability, these practitioners may be from a range of contexts and settings such as education, health and social care.
This part-time course is designed for professionals working in the field of Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) and has been developed with employers. It will enhance your ability to bring positive outcomes to the children and young people you work with. A range of relevant modules allow you to specialise in areas appropriate to your context. You will study this course at one of our partner colleges.
