The College is committed to working with employers and contributing to increasing both local and national productivity. Its aim is to close the skills gap to support the local economy and address the skills gaps expected to follow the current economic downturn.

Our Employer Hotline's ensure direct and easy access. When you contact us our Employer Hotline Coordinator will ensure that your enquiry goes to a Business Adviser who will contact you to discuss your full requirements.
Your enquiry will be dealt with quickly and efficiently in line with our Employer Service Standards. We will then work with you to develop effective solutions and will provide full support throughout.

Employer Service Standards
As part of our commitment to providing an exceptional service to our clients, the following service standards will apply:
All incoming calls or enquiries will be directed to a central point and answered by trained specialist
customer service staff within 5 rings during office hours or within 1 working day of a message
being left.
Each employer will have a named contact (usually a Business Adviser) who will contact them within
2 working days of the initial contact.
A written or electronic training proposal will be available to the employer within 7 working days.
Training and assessments will be carried out by fully qualified, occupationally competent staff with
ongoing quality monitoring.
Delivery of the training will be within the contracted hours, timescales and lead to agreed outcomes
as specified in the training proposal.
The named contact will monitor the training by liaising with the employer in line with specified
contract review dates.
The named contact will arrange a follow-up courtesy call to the employer within 1 month of the
completion of training to measure the business impact agreed prior to the start of the training.
All information given by the employer and learner will be treated confidentially.
Funding Support
It is our aim to offer the highest possible standards of training and we never compromise on quality. However, we understand the importance of getting value for money and our expert Business Advisers work with you to ensure that you get the best possible return on your investment. We will work with you to identify and access any available funding so that you can afford to up skill your workforce.
Train to Gain
Train to Gain is a government-led initiative designed to help businesses improve their productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that your staff have the appropriate skills to do their job. As an accredited Train to Gain supplier Stephenson College can deliver high quality training at a competitive price.
