What will I study

You will develop the skills you need to meet the new government standards for teaching in the lifelong learning sector, which will lead to Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).

How will I learn?

A variety of teaching methods are used, including formal teaching, guided/individual work and observations.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed on your coursework through written assignments, a professional development journal and a teaching file.

Where could it lead?

You will already be employed in the sector but if you successfully complete the course you could move into a course coordinator role, management or gain other kinds of promotion.

Materials/Equipment Required

Students will have access to the college's Higher Education Centre for IT facilities and books.
It is expected that students will purchase certain texts throughout the course.
