These courses are for people who
may have a range of mild learning
difficulties and/or disabilities who are
unsure about their future life skills or choice
of career. The Skills for Work programme
offers career options e.g. plumbing,
brickwork, woodwork, childcare, hair &
beauty, art, office skills, painting &
decorating and motor vehicle and also
includes some work experience in the
second year.
The Skills for Life programme helps young
people develop life skills e.g. independent
living, cookery and social skills. This could
lead to career development on the Skills for
Work Programme.
