Course Description

Hairdressing is an extremely exciting business and there are many different opportunities. Most progressive salons will expect their staff to attain the NVQ 3 Diploma. This course is designed to build on your passion for the hairdressing industry and is aimed at committed stylists and technicians who are interested in enhancing their creative hairdressing skills.

Entry Requirements

You should have obtained NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing.
Selection will be made on the basis of an interview and initial assessment. Personal qualities such as self-motivation, a genuine interest and commitment to study are essential.

How will I learn?

You will learn in a modern, well equipped environment; state-of-the-art treatment rooms, using industry standard equipment and high quality products. Access to the latest online learning materials will be available, delivered using Smartboards and Plasma screen TVs. The course will be taught using a variety of approaches these include; practical work, directed learning on computers, independent study and tutorials.

How will I be assessed?

You will complete practical assessments, assignments and online tests.

Where could it lead?

Following completion of this course you can progress onto a level 3 NVQ in hairdressing.
This qualification can open doors to a wide variety of roles including:
Senior stylist
Salon supervisor
Salon manager

You will need to purchase a kit and uniform from a college recommended supplier. Order forms are available from college.
