This course is designed for qualified hairdressers who would like to include skills that will enable them to cut men's hair.

NVQ level 2 hairdressing or considerable experience working in the industry.

1 evening for 12 weeks

What will I study

Cutting men's hair using basic barbering techniques.

How will I learn?

You will learn in a modern, well equipped environment; state-of-the-art treatment rooms, using industry standard equipment and high quality products. Access to the latest online learning materials will be available, delivered using Smartboards and Plasma screen TVs. The course will be taught using a variety of approaches these include; practical work, directed learning on computers, independent study and tutorials.

Written assessment

Where could it lead?

Following completion of this course, you can progress onto a level 3 VRQ or NVQ in hairdressing.

Materials/Equipment Required

You will need to buy a kit and a uniform from a supplier recommended by the college
