Welding health and safety, the theoretical and practical application of welding using; MMA, MIG and TIG welding processes.
By tutor led discussion and demonstration, followed by guided practice.
By visual assessment and the use of destructive and non-destructive testing methods. There are also questions set by the awarding body that require correct written answers. All the practical work is recorded in the individual learners workbook and tracked to the planning sheet set by the awarding body for final review and evaluation.
To further, higher qualification based courses such as the Advanced Diploma in engineering. It may be possible, with tutor recommendation, to attempt the BS 4872 Welder Approval.
