Course Description

One Mandatory and two optional units, following on from Level 2 are designed to develop a broad range of skills and knowledge relating to electrical installations engineering, enabling students to work towards becoming qualified.

What will I study

One mandatory and two subject specific units.

Mandatory unit:
> Working effectively and safely in an Electro-Technical environment

Subject Specific units:
> Installation (Buildings and structures)
> Fault Diagnosis and Rectification

How will I learn?

You will learn in state-of-the-art facilities and Industry Standard Workshops. Having access to the latest online learning materials delivered using Smartboards. A balance between theoretical and hands on approach ensuring that a broad skill base will also be developed.

How will I be assessed?

The programme is internally and externally assessed by achievement of practical assignments and multi-choice testing.

Where could it lead?

The course is designed as a pathway into employment within the engineering sector or onto Higher Education eg, Higher National Certificate or Diploma.
