The courses are all practical in nature and each student has access to an up to date PC running AutoCAD version 14 Software.City & Guilds 4351 - leads to a certificate of competence in the use of the popular AutoCAD software for two-dimensional drawings.City & Guilds 4353 - leads to a certificate of competence in the use of three-dimensional drawing and display commands.City & Guilds 4354 - provides a certificate of competence in customising and managing the AutoCAD 14 Software.

What Qualifications or experience do I need?

No formal entry qualifications are required. Applicants will be provided with advice on which course is appropriate before enrolment.

How long is the course?

Each course lasts for one session from September to June.Attendance is for one evening or afternoon per week for 36 weeks.

Students work individually with guidance from lecturer.

How will I be assessed?

City & Guilds 4351 - Two assignments and a multiple-choice examination paper. City & Guilds 4353 - Three practical assignments and a multiple choice examination paper.City & Guilds 4354 - Two practical assignments and a multiple choice examination paper.

Where could this course lead to?

Progression from 4351 to 4353 and then 4354. Possession of the certificates of competence and associated skills provides enhanced employment prospects. Theoretical skills in more specialised areas.
