An ACS assessment covering all of the safety fundamentals of domestic natural gas work, aimed at the domestic gas engineer. Required by Gas Safe, for your registration with them. This qualification is required before you may take any others in domestic natural gas work.

You must have either:
> A previous ACS CCN1 certificate, or
> An NVQ in relevant gas work, or
> Recently completed an auditable course of training in domestic gas work, or
> An NVQ in plumbing or an allied trade, or
> Relevant, long experience within the gas industry, which will need to be verified by your employer, or similar person.
This option is assessment only. You are not obliged to take a refresher course, but we strongly advise it, to help you to pass the associated assessments. Please see that option on the list.

The ACS assessment takes 2 days. It consists of multiple-choice question papers and practical tasks.
After your successful assessment, you will receive your certificate by mail. Please note that before you can undertake any unsupervised gas work, you will need to pass assessments on the appliances on which you intend to work and be Gas Safe registered. Please see those options on the list.
Please dress for a workshop environment and bring a black pen and a calculator. All other equipment will be provided.
