3 Appliance - Initial Assessment/Training

Course Description

This training and assessment is for those wishing to add 3 appliance types to their qualifications in domestic gas work. It consists of a one day training course which covers all assessed areas, followed by a one day assessment.

You can choose three from:
> CEN1 (boilers) please note you also need CPA1 with this option
> HTR (Fires) please note you also need CPA1 with this option
> CKR1 (cookers)
> WAT1 (water heaters)
> DAH1 (warm air heaters)
> LAU1 (tumble dryers)
> MET1 (domestic gas meters)

How will I learn?

The course consists of input from an experienced lecturer, with some practical content, which varies with the appliance covered.

How will I be assessed?

The ACS assessments all have a short, multiple-choice theory assessment, and practical tasks involving installation, service and fault-finding on the appliance of your choice.

Where could it lead?

After your successful assessment, you will receive your certificate(s) by mail, and you can then work unsupervised on the appliance(s) covered.

Materials/Equipment Required

Please dress for a workshop environment and bring a black pen and a calculator. All other equipment will be provided.
