Course Description

This course is for those who have already achieved an HNC in Construction.

It is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to enhance their prospects in a highly competitive and ever changing labour market. It is linked into the National Vocational Qualifications and as such is nationally recognised both by employers and a number of professional organisations.

Entry Requirements

To enrol on this course you must hold an HNC in Construction.

Course Length

The course consists of two semesters starting in September. Attendance 2x Evenings per week 6.00 pm - 9.00 pm.

What will I study

The Higher National Diploma in Construction comprises of an additional 6 optional units which lead to a General Construction qualification.

6 optional units (chosen via the College to suit demand), taken over three semesters. (Options can be discussed with the tutors).

How will I learn?

An exciting, varied and challenging approach to learning is adopted throughout the course, including directed research linked to projects, practical skill based sessions, seminars, lectures and tutorials.

Our aim is to assist you in your learning and for you to acquire learning skills that will stand you in good stead for the future.

How will I be assessed?

A variety of means of assessment are used including written assignments, seminars and presentations.

Other than note taking equipment & a Scientific Calculator all resources will be provided via the college. (Currently there is no charge for printing).
