Course Description

The course is designed to provide a specialist vocational programme, linked to professional body requirements and National Occupational Standards where appropriate.
It offer a strong, emphasis on practical programming skills and web development alongside the development of requisite knowledge and understanding of computer systems.
The qualification provide a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in the computing sector and national recognition by employers.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should posses a level 3 qualification and be aged 18 or above. You will be expected to complete at least 8 hours work at home.

Course Length

Course length is two days a week, currently Monday and Wednesday, over 2 years.

How will I learn?

You will learn by completing a variety of practical tasks, challenges and question papers. Working in teams also forms an important part of your learning.

How will I be assessed?

All assessments will be in the form of practical tasks and written reports. You will also be required to keep a diary of your progress.

Where could it lead?

Many students have progressed onto a BSC in Computing or other computing related university options.
