The health and safety award covers all aspects of working to professional standards in a beauty therapy environment.

If the duration of your course is more than 1 year, further tuition/material fees will be expected 12 months after starting your course unless you are exempt from payment.

Entry Requirements

You will need to attend a college advice session before enrolment onto this course. A recognised qualification in health and safety is essential for a number of beauty therapy qualifications.

3 hours per week over 8 weeks

What will I study

Follow health and safety in the salon

How will I learn?

You will learn in a modern, well equipped environment; Access to the latest online learning materials will be available, delivered using Smartboards and Plasma screen TVs. The course will be taught using a variety of approaches these include; directed learning on computers, independent study and tutorials.

How will I be assessed?

This award is assessed by assignment and written tests.

Where could it lead?

This award compliments all beauty therapy qualifications and is a requirement for all part time awards.
