The Complementary Therapies industry is a developing and growing market. As a Complementary Therapist you can find yourself in a salon, a health farm or even as a self employed therapist visiting clients at home or at work. This qualification will provide you with the skills you need.

Beauty Therapy Level 2, Complementary Therapies Level 2 or other equivilant qualifications within the health sector are required. Selection will be made on the basis of an interview and initial assessment. Personal qualities such as self-motivation, a genuine interest and commitment to study are essential.

You wil learn in state-of-the-art treatment rooms and salons, using industry standard equipment and high quality products and have access to the latest online learning materials delivered using Smartboards and plasma screen TV's. The course will be taught using a variety of approaches. These include; practical work, directed learning, independent studies and tutorials.
All units are assessed throughout the course using a variety of methods including; observation, case studies, internal and external assessments and online tests.
After successful completion of this course you can progress on to a Higher Professional Certificate/Diploma in Technical Salon Management (4450), Teacher Training, employment with the Social Service, Care sectors and Beauty and Complementary Therapy industries.
You will need to purchase a college uniform, a small kit and a book (details of which will be given at enrolment). An optional kit list will also be given if you want to purchase extra equipment, however the college will provide all the disposable equipment you will need.
