Gas Commercial TPCP 1

Course Description

A refresher course covering all of the fundamentals of testing and purging commercial gas systems; aimed at preparing you for the TPCP1 assessment. You may wish to see TPCP1a if your operations do not include very large gas systems.

You are not obliged to take a refresher course, but we strongly advise it, to help you to pass the associated assessments.

> A current CCCN1 certificate or
> Current CCN1 and CODNCO1 certificates or
> COCNPI1LS

Course Length

2 days, plus 1 day separate assessment; 3 days in all.

What will I study

This course covers current practices in the areas of pneumatic testing and direct purging and is applicable to all fuel gases.

How will I learn?

The course is for experienced people, and the subjects are wide ranging, so are mainly covered in the classroom. This is by lecturer input, written exercises, and research. There are practical tasks also, in certain areas of work.

How will I be assessed?

The assessment takes 1 day in addition to the training period, and is undertaken separately. It consists of written and practical tasks.

Where could it lead?

After your successful assessment, you will receive your certificate by mail and you can then work unsupervised during pneumatic testing and purging operations.

Materials/Equipment Required

Please dress for a workshop environment and bring a black pen and a calculator. All other equipment will be provided.
