A one day refresher course and subsequent assessment for those who work on commercial gas appliances, covering all of the most popular types.

Entry Requirements

You must have either:
> An existing ACS COCN1 certificate, or
> Existing ACS CCN1 and CODNCO1 certificates

Course Length

One day, plus one day for the separate ACS assessment, making 2 in all.

What will I study

> CIGA1 is a general commercial gas appliance unit
> CORT1 is for commercial radiant overhead heaters
> CDGA1 is for commercial flueless heaters

How will I learn?

The course is for experienced people, and the subjects are wide ranging, so are mainly covered in the classroom. This is by lecturer input. There are practical tasks also, in certain areas of work.

How will I be assessed?

The assessments are undertaken separately from the training period and take 1 day.

Where could it lead?

After a successful assessment, your certificate is mailed to you, and you may then work unsupervised in the relevant areas.

Materials/Equipment Required

Please come dressed for light practical work and bring a black pen and a calculator. All other equipment is supplied by the College.
