Course Description

A refresher course covering all of the safety fundamentals of commercial gas supply installation work, which is required by Gas Safe Register, for your registration with them. This limited scope assessment is suitable for pipe fitters etc. who install natural gas pipe work up to 150mm dia., and do not connect it to a live gas supply. This is a stand-alone option: you do not need a core qualification as a prerequisite.

What will I study

This course covers current practices in the areas of installation and controls

How will I learn?

The course is for experienced people, and the subjects are wide ranging, so are mainly covered in the classroom. This is by lecturer input, and written exercises.

How will I be assessed?

The assessment takes ½ day in addition to the training period, and is normally undertaken on the day.

Where could it lead?

After your successful assessment, you will receive your certificate by mail and you can then work unsupervised on gas pipework.

Please bring a black pen and a calculator and dress for light practical work. All other equipment will be provided.
