What will I study

You will complete 4 mandatory units:
> A1 Manage and develop yourself and your workforce within care services
> B1 Lead and manage provision of care services that respects, protects and promotes the rights and responsibilities of people
> C1 Develop and maintain systems, procedures and practice of care services to manage risks and comply with health and safety requirements

Your tutor will then be able to advise you on your choice of 4 optional units

How will I learn?

How will I be assessed?

Candidates will submit a portfolio of evidence consisting mainly of observations, supplemented with candidate explanations, witness testimonies, work based evidence, case studies, products and oral or written questions.

The observations will be conducted in the workplace by an individual trainer at agreed intervals. The minimum number of observations required for the award is three.

Written feedback will be provided on each observation and on completion of individual units.

Where could it lead?

This course enables the student to be a Registered Manager within care services and could lead onto Higher Education.
