This is a coursework based qualification. Units give a detailed look at Health and Social Care topics to prepare you for a career in a Health and Social Care setting.
Level 3
Ideally you will have 4 GCSEs at grade A*-C, or a First Diploma at Merit level or above.
The course is 2 years long. You will attend college for 18 hours per week over 3 days.

You will learn through demonstrations, group work, practical activities and individual research activities.
All units are assessed through projects or coursework which includes developing posters, leaflets and written work. There are no exams.
Following this course you could progress to Higher Education for a Nursing or Social Work Degree and related professions, an apprenticeship, or employment in the Health and Social Care sector.
You will need normal stationery for taking notes and producing coursework such as pens and paper.
