This is a coursework based qualification. Units cover a basic introduction to Health and Social Care topics to prepare you for a career in a Health and Social Care setting.
Level 2
Ideally you will have 4-5 GCSEs grades D-G, or an Introductory Diploma at a Merit level or above.
The course is 1 year long. You will attend college for approximately 14 hours per week over 3 days.

You will learn from demonstrations, group work, practical activities and individual research activities.
All units are assessed through projects or coursework which includes developing posters, leaflets and written work. There are no exams.
Following this course you could progress to the Health and Social Care Level 3 Diploma, an apprenticeship, or employment in the Health and Social Care sector.
You will need normal stationery for taking notes and producing coursework such as pens and paper.
