The BTEC First Diploma is ideal in providing the underpinning knowledge and skills required in order to progress onto further study such as BTEC National Diplomas in the creative sector and are recognised by a large number of organisations and employers.
Level 2
A basic level of English is required ( C/D GCSE). A keen interest in animation, multimedia and drawing. You will also attend an interview and present examples of your work.
1 year full time
A variety of topics will be covered to develop your creativity and craft skills; these include drawing, 3D modelling, interactive media, audio and video production, advertising, and animation techniques. You will also learn functional skills which are English, Maths and ICT as required.
In state-of-the-art facilities using traditional and digital media with up to date graphics, video and animation software on industry standard Apple Mac and PC hardware . You will visit galleries, museums and learn through practical work and demonstrations. You will work both individually and as part of a group.
You will be assessed entirey through course work.
There are no exams.
BTEC National Diploma Interactive Media other National Certificate/Diploma courses.
Essential hardware is available for use at the college. Students are required to supply their own basic materials including sketchbooks, spray mount, and other consumables. Full details are provided on induction.
