Hairdressing NVQ level 3
The following will be included in the programme as mandatory units
Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
Promote additional products/services to clients
Provide hairdressing consultation services
Create a variety of looks using a combination of cutting techniques
Optional group 1 (4 units to be chosen)
Develop and enhance your creative hairdressing skills
Style and dress hair to achieve a variety of creative looks
Style and dress long hair
Provide colour correction services
Perm hair using a variety of techniques
Colour hair using a variety of techniques
Optional (1 unit must be chosen)
Support customer service improvements
Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business
Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities
Enhancements
Enhancements are additional units which may be taken (on agreement with your trainer) to enhance your skills and develop your hairdressing abilities in hairdressing.
Functional Skills
Level 2 Maths and Level 2 English must be undertaken as part of the Apprenticeship, although some candidates may be exempt dependent on prior attainment.
