Course Description

This qualification is suitable for 16 year olds as well as adults. Candidates will be required to attend college and a suitable animal care placement; for example, boarding kennels.

Movement & handling of small animals
Principles of dealing with feedstuffs for small animals
Assist with feeding
Functional skills - Number, ICT & English

How will I learn?

Through workshops, group sessions & tutorials. Plus practical experience in a work place setting.

How will I be assessed?

Assessments and observation in the workplace.
There will be a test for each functional skill.
