Nottingham Training Centre, Easter Park

We are very proud of our new Nottingham Centre, opened in September 2007. We had a grand opening ceremony with guest star, Tommy Walsh from BBC's Ground Force programme. With his background and experience in construction, he was a real inspiration to the students and employers alike.

Our centre was opened with the idea of providing quality construction training, as well as continuing our provision of care training, all under one roof. As an accredited Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in Construction, we can offer state of the art resources and first class tutoring in an area of need within the city.

Our centre consists of workshops downstairs where students can learn and practice Plumbing, Joinery, Brickwork, Maintenance, Painting and Decorating, amongst other things. We have new equipment for the learners to use and staff on hand (other than their tutors) to assist them in the workshops.

Moving upstairs, we have the staff office and the classrooms and clusters. Mimicking the setup at the main site in Coalville, the partitioned computer clusters are adjacent to quiet classrooms used for study and group discussion. Throughout the college we use SMARTboard interactive whiteboards and high-definition plasma displays as well as a host of computer resources to make the learning experience all the more involving.

We can offer tours of the college by prior arrangement, or the Virtual Tours are available at any time. Please contact us if you would like any further information about the learning environment here at Stephenson College Nottingham.
